Get Inspired - Don’t Get Stuck

by Sydney Hoff, Lead Planner

You just got engaged - what do you do? Pinterest. TikTok. Etsy. Instagram. Suddenly, you have a vision: lush florals, soft colors, and whimsical lighting. It’s perfect. It’s everything. But before you know it, you’ve got custom linens and vintage goblets in your shopping cart and seconds away from spending hundreds to bring that vision to life.

We totally get it – inspiration is so helpful. But sometimes, it can become restrictive.

We’ve seen couples so committed to their ideal aesthetic that they back themselves into a corner. They pass on the perfect venue because the wallpaper in the bathroom clashes with their welcome sign. They lose sleep over finding the exact shade of pink for the ribbon around their bouquets & boutonnieres. They feel like one tiny detail could make or break the day.

It might feel easier to just stick with the theme. But, if your color palette suddenly has a new shade of green or one of your photo frames is silver instead of gold, that’s not a sign of failure. That’s just your personality shining through.

You can give yourself permission to pivot from the Pinterest board. Mix and match styles that are meaningful to you. Choose a flower you weren’t initially considering because it’s in-season and will be just as beautiful. Pick something because, well, you just like it. Trust us, if the bridesmaids dresses don’t perfectly match the napkins, no one will notice. It might just be the trendiest thing you do! Remember, cohesion is key. Perfection? We don’t need her.

Your wedding is not a test to showcase your ‘brand’. It’s a celebration – of you, your favorite people and most importantly, your love. Dress it up however you want because at the end of your day, it’ll be the memories that shine through.

Let us help you make the design feel less overwhelming
Our approach to design is firmly rooted in collaboration with the couples we work with. We don’t believe in forcing you to like our vision. We believe in pulling your vision out of you. The real version. Not just the one you pinned.

Who are you as a couple and as individuals? Are you drawn to certain aesthetics? We can take your interests and transform them into a design that feels intentional, and completely you. This goes beyond the flowers and the color palette. We are thinking all the way down to the catch phrase on the bar sign. Isn’t that a phrase from the groom’s favorite film? You bet it is – and that’s personal!

You don’t have to bring a full design plan and a tabbed spreadsheet with an album of inspo pics (unless that’s your thing and you want to, of course). If all you have to offer us is, “I love the feeling of fall, I hate the color orange and my favorite movie is Dirty Dancing” that’s plenty. We’ll start there.

We handle the mood boards and source all the details. We can recommend table settings that work with your custom centerpieces, signage that gives a nod to those favorites you mentioned, and rentals that bring your wedding to the next level (all within budget, obviously). We’ll tell you when something’s just truly not worth it, and we’ll go to bat for those details that do matter. ‘Cause ‘no one puts baby in a corner’!

Design doesn’t need to be about how you can mimic those weddings you’ve seen a million times. It should feel like a complete representation of you and all the things you love. We can make that happen — thoughtfully, creatively, and most importantly, through flexibility.

You and your guests will remember how the day felt. And that’s what we’re here for!
