Floral Manager

The Floral Manager leads the creative and operational functions of the wedding and event floral studio. This role combines artistic direction, team leadership, and production execution. The Floral Manager ensures that all floral designs—from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations—are executed with quality, inclusivity, and professionalism.

This position welcomes and serves clients of all identities, backgrounds, cultures, and relationship structures.

Responsibilities

Floral Execution

Use design boards and descriptions to create floral pieces to clients’ specifications.

Track and order purchasing of florals and related supplies

Floral Planning

Create budgets, including floral costs and staffing resources, to match clients approved proposals

Utilize final confirmations, mood boards, client provided inspiration, and event notes to create floral recipes

Create final floral detail mockup(s) based on notes from the client's final order confirmation call. Make revisions as needed.

Staffing

Complete weekly staffing plan to ensure event plan stays on schedule and is fully staffed for both floral production and event day needs

Work with floral and general assistants to pull rental items needed for floral elements

Train and lead floral assistants as necessary

Other

Maintain a clean workspace and floral cooler

Dry and preserve any unused floral that can be maintained and used dry

Ensure properly stocked floral kits for event days

Maintain availability for onsite direction for set up or tear down as required

Qualifications

High school degree is required

2 + years of proven track record of creating, implementing, and executing designs for weddings and/or events. Knowledge of the wedding and event industry is a plus 

Strong knowledge of floral process and project management. 

Ability to cope with stressful and emotional situations and clients.

Strong influencing and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)

Must be organized, analytical and dynamic 

A passion for floral design, people, weddings, and events. 

Strong portfolio available for viewing 

 

Working Conditions

 

Special working conditions can cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors, working with challenging clients, etc.

 

Physical Requirements

 

The Floral Lead job can be physically demanding. There is a potential requirement to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, climb ladders for installations and perform repetitive tasks.
